Etsy Outfit Construction

Swimming costume, wedges

Coat, platforms

Cheer skirt, platforms, underwear set
One of my favourite things to do is to have a really good delve on Etsy - favouriting things left, right and centre and constructing cute outfits in my head. There's such a huge range of stuff there, it's like one big never-ending vintage wardrobe but also I've been getting more into the modern stuff, especially lingerie, there are some really well-designed, fun and affordable shops out there. So this is where these outfit illustrations have come from. In a magical, silly world I would have a never-ending wardrobe full of all this but now I feel I can settle for these neat book-sized representations which don't take up much space in my life. I'm going to aim to do one of these illustrations a day because they're quick and fun and satisfying. It also helps me visualize my inspirations more clearly. I find I use Etsy for inspiration mainly, it's great to be able to easily find high-quality photos of intricate details, unusual materials and rare designs in one place.

I'd love to get into creating outfits on certain themes or for people looking for inspiration/with a specific budget so please get in contact if you're interested! X

Recent Outfits - Part 1

Some excellent quality photos from my phone of recent outfits and hair-dos. I've really enjoyed being able to wear my genie gold and fur slippers as it's actually been cold enough in the house to wear them and plus I don't have to worry about slipping down any stairs in them now! I got them from VeraVague on etsy two years ago, they were my very first purchase on etsy as a matter of fact and the shop is still full of wonderful goodies and they appear to be having a 25% off sale, huzzah!

Everything I'm wearing is vintage/charity shopped apart from the black lace up boots are Red or Dead (amazingly comfortable and cute mid length height), the orange fuzzy jumper was a gift and the red knitted pom pom scarf thing I made myself.

Hope you're all having a great weekend! X

Ebay shop update!

70s lemon night dress

60s red and green strawberry print dress

60s yellow mini (really mini) gogo dress

60s knitted short-sleeved jumper top

Topshop 40s style Hawaiian print dress

Early 60s autumnal floral print dress

50s grey wool flannel shirt dress

Beautiful new things in/coming into my ebay shop! These are all from my personal collection, so you can really raid my wardrobe! I lovelovelove the detailing on this '50s grey flannel shirt dress, with thick embroidered bands of colour. Such a simple idea, yet it really adds something to the dress, the orange especially goes wonderfully with the grey! I'll be putting up so many more clothes in the days to come so please keep an eye out for them! XXX

Autumn Princess

These are some snaps taken in the burst of sun we had today. I've dyed my hair a new colour and I keep alternating between loathing and loving it, but I put some plaits, twists and paper flowers in it and I'm on the loving end now. Everything apart from the paisley pyjamas are available in my Etsy store right now, which has also got a spooky Halloween discount of free postage on everything til 5/11/13! More photos coming in another post! Once we'd taken these photos the heavens opened and I could take no more, so gotta do that and hoping for a sunny Halloween! Now I've just got to choose a frighteningly good costume...

Pinky

I took some really nice photos of this above arrangement, but unfortunately try as I might I can't upload the photos here :( I was just playing around with some things I found at a bootfair yesterday, but they looked great, will upload to tumblr instead if you want to have a peek!

What's the best thing you've found at a bootfair? It's very exciting finding things for 20p and grabbing them quick when you see them! I think I'm going to try to do a bootfair in a week or so, have a lot to get rid of and I want it all gone! Ahh freedom and space shall be mine at last!

I'm selling things on ebay at the moment as well as my etsy if anyone's interested! Lots of bargains, the ebay stuff is from my own wardrobe!
